Dr. Nengliang (Aaron) Yao is assistant professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia, USA and a Founding Chair of Global Health and Healthcare Interest Group, AcademyHealth, USA. He teaches global health major students and conduct global healthcare research with a focus on non-communicable diseases. He chaired the global health theme of the 2016 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. He was a project director at Chinese central government organizing intergovernmental seminars for senior officials from developing countries. Dr. Yao received a BS (Management) from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, MS in Technology Management from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
