Ernesto Zedillo is the director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization and is a professor in International Economics and Politics, International and Area Studies, and Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University. He served as President of Mexico from 1994-2000. Since leaving office in 2000, Ernesto Zedillo has been a leading voice on globalization, especially its impact on relations between developed and developing nations. He is chairman of the Global Development Network Board, an organization that works with developing country researchers and policy research institutes to generate and share research on development. He currently co-chairs the Partnership for the Americas commission. He is a member of several boards including those of the World Economic Forum, Trilateral Commission, and International Advisory Board of the Council on Foreign Relations. He earned a B.A. from the School of Economics of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University.
