Government-Related Holocaust Education/Information

Ministry of Education and Science – A national curriculumcould not be located, but the Organization for Security and Cooperation’s 2006 overview and analysis on “Education on the Holocaust and on Antisemitism” reported that Kazakhstan includes Holocaust education in the history and social sciences curricula.  Students receive 12 to 20 hours of instruction.  The 2011-2020 State Program of Education Development notes that education should encourage active citizenship, social responsibility, and moral leadership. 

Kazakhstan has a National Commission for UNSECO and is a member state of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
