Government-Related Holocaust Education/Information

Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training – Djibouti does not mandate the teaching of the Holocaust.  Its state curriculum could not be accessed. 

Djibouti has a National Commission for UNESCO.

National Commission on Human Rights – In 2008, the government of Djibouti, through Decree no. 2008-0103/PR/MJAP, created a National Commission on Human Rights for the promotion and protection of Human Rights.

National Forum on Education (NFE) – In 1999, the government of Djibouti organized the National Forum on Education with the objective of achieving universal primary education by 2010, and produced a new curriculum for basic education. 

General Holocaust Education/Information

There is no established Jewish Community in Djibouti. There was previously a Jewish population in Djibouti, but it disbanded in 1948 with the creation of the State of Israel.
