Simone Jordan is an advisor in the division for Democracy Education at the Austrian Parliament. Based in Vienna, Austria, she joined the Parliamentary Administration in September 2014. She is responsible for the Democracy Workshop International programme from an educational perspective, with a particular focus on the implementation of the Democracy Workshop programme in other national parliaments. In addition, she co-organises the Democracy Workshop programme design, activities, as well as oversees the operations of the programme administration in the Austrian Parliament. She is interested in sharing expertise with representatives of parliaments and organisations worldwide on civic and civil education.
She has previously been involved in the development of civic education programmes for apprentices as well as new online programmes of the Democracy Workshop. In 2020, she co-edited the report "Parliaments Promoting Democracy". Simone holds a master's degrees in translation studies and a bachelor's degree in transcultural communication from the University of Vienna.
