Kristina Kaihari

Counsellor of Education, Finnish National Agency for Education, Finland

Kristina Kaihari has worked as Counsellor of Education at the Finnish Nation Agency for Education for almost 20 years. She is Head of the National Curriculum division for History and Social Studies/Economics subjects including EDC/HRE and Media Education in Basic and Upper Secondary Education and has been involved in the Future Competences development process during the recent curriculum reforms.

Kristina is, in addition, the Lead Expert of Finland in the Council of Europe Education Policy Advisers Network (EPAN) and member of the EUN Digital Citizenship Working Group as well as the Deputy HoD of the Finnish Delegation to the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance). Previously she worked over 15 years as teacher of History and Social Studies/Civics besides Municipal curriculum development leadership in the City of Tampere.

Ms. Kaihari has also worked as an analyst at the OECD/Education.
