Paulina Arango is the learning and research leader at San José de Las Vegas School, a private school in Medellín-Colombia focused on promoting youth activism through active methodologies applied to solve real-life city problems to build empathy, collaboration, social inclusion, critical thinking, and global awareness.
She has also worked in Colombia in the professional development of teachers, education in post-conflict contexts, and social psychology, and she has researched international development education and comparative education in Latin America and the U.S. Paulina has been recognized as a Peace Scholar by the United States Institute of Peace for her research on the role of technical and vocational education in the reintegration of youth ex-combatants in Colombia.
She holds a Ph.D. in International and Multicultural Education, a Master's degree in International Affairs from Florida State University (FSU), and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia.
