Shreya Kaul

Student, Ashoka University, India

Shreya Kaul is currently enrolled at the Young India Fellowship, a flagship diploma programme in liberal arts at Ashoka University and a recent graduate of political science from Delhi University. As a student of political science, she believes politics is not just an academic discipline but an everyday display of power, espousing Harold Laswell's question of "Who gets What, When and How?" not just in politics, but also in society, citizenship, art, family and even love. She is extremely enthusiastic about gender, South Asian literature, and public policy. Her work as a researcher at the Centre for Studies in Gender and Sexuality, Ashoka University has explored the use of legal literature and media practices to contextualise how sexual justice is pursued, especially by minorities. At NITI Aayog, Government of India, she has explored the intersections of data, gender and public policy while aiming to collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the future.
