Emma Long is an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University (LSU), studying mass communication with a concentration in political communication and political science with a concentration in public policy. She is interested in the political process and the role of media and public image in that process. This summer she is working as a communications intern at the Louisiana Division of Administration in the Office of Broadband and Connectivity. She also works as a research assistant, researching news avoidance relating to broader democratic processes. She also is very involved on LSU's campus, serving as Speaker Pro-Temp of Student Senate and Director of Voter Engagement of Geaux Vote. Emma is excited to take on new experiences and learn more about the changing media landscape.
