Mellie Parks is a student at the University of Miami pursuing a degree in motion pictures on the Production Track and English on the Creative Writing Track. She is from Los Angeles, California. In her two years at the University of Miami, she has worked as an associate producer on UMTV, the University's entertainment and news network. She has also written and directed several short films and assisted in other projects. Mellie is an active member of Delta Kappa Alpha, the nations oldest, professional cinema fraternity, and a member of Sigma Delta Tau. She is passionate about service work and started a non-profit program in her community, teaching children how to play field hockey.
