Desiree (Des) Maldonado is a student at Nevada State University in Henderson, Nevada, USA. Des is a student in the Nepantla Program and a Writing Center Fellow in NSU's Writing Center. She holds a current position as a Writing Center Fellow conducting research on First-Generation College Students and their Student Development Theory and how it ties into college/university Writing Centers. She also holds a position as a Senior Senator in the student government "Nevada State Student Alliance." She will obtain a Bachelor of Science in psychology with Minors in social justice and gender & sexuality this upcoming December.
