Mary Grace Purser is a rising senior at Emerson College. A journalism major with minors in narrative nonfiction and media studies, she carries an interest in writing, film, and pop culture criticism. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Grace garnered a passion for all things Southern and is tenacious in her desire to disrupt its classist stereotypes within the academic sphere. She has a passion for local politics, spending her time voluntarily campaigning and canvassing for several Democratic campaigns including Senator Jon Ossoff and Stacey Abrams. Additionally, she has interned at Roswell Neighbor Newspapers and Trioscope Films. As of late, she has writing featured in her college's on-campus magazine, Your Mag, and is noted for her writing on religious fundamentalism, Southern culture, and feminism.
