Renelle Sarjeant

Urban Planner & Designer, Public Space Global, Earth Medic Foundation for Planetary Health, Trinidad and Tobago

Renelle Sarjeant is an urban planner and designer with ten years' experience in the built environment sector. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Sheffield and in 2016 was a Chevening Scholar in interdisciplinary urban design at the University College of London. Her guiding light is devising empathetic and nuanced strategies for the development of people and places. Renelle's work has included planning policy, urban research, project management and digital transformation. Renelle is the founder of Public Space Global, a public space advocacy group and a regional liaison for the Epidemic Urbanism Initiative, an interdisciplinary collaborative which explores epidemics in the urban environment. At present she works as a consultant for private sector clients and agencies including UN Women and the Caribbean Policy Development Centre, and is an Associate at the Earth Medic Foundation for Planetary Health. Her current passions are climate adaptation policy, participatory development, and public space design.
