Christina Jang

Program Manager of Technical Assistance, 10-Minute Walk Program, Trust for Public Land, United States of America

Christina Jang is the technical assistance program manager for the 10-Minute Walk Program at the Trust for Public Land (TPL). For the past decade, she has been dedicated to bolstering grasstops efforts that elevate community needs as it relates to parks, green spaces, and streets, and highlighting the experiences of women and caregivers in those spaces. Currently at the 10-Minute Walk Campaign, she manages the campaign's technical assistance work, such as leading the Community of Practice, a forum that convenes 40 cities across the country to discuss and advance policies and practices that address park access, quality, and equity. She also supports the campaign's network of 300 cities, including communication with mayor's offices and support for parks policies and projects. Prior to TPL, Christina was at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP), a global organization using technical expertise, direct advocacy, and policy guidance to accelerate sustainable mobility efforts in the Global South. Apart from working in international settings, she brings cross-cultural perspectives on education and community engagement through her lived experiences working in Spain and Brazil. Christina has a Master's of urban planning from New York University, and speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
