Ka Yan Lai (Yvonne) is a PhD researcher at the University of Hong Kong. Her research fields focus on spatial design analyses for healthy cities, big data urban epidemiology, healthy longevity, healthy urban planning, urban green and active travel and advanced statistical modelling. She is involved in research using large-scale health cohorts including the HK FAMILY Cohort and UK Biobank to examine the associations of housing, greenness and walkability with cardiovascular and mental health. Her studies were published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as PloS Medicine, Environment International and JAMA Network Open. She received her master's degree in architecture from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
