Christopher Bass is the assistant director of Parks and Recreation with the City of Douglasville, Georgia. He began his career as a recreation professional in Columbus, Georgia where he served in several different positions including; facility manager, project director and division manager. Christopher is a member of NRPA where he serves as a commissioner for CAPRA and on the Board of Directors for the National Recreation Ethnic Minority Society. On the state level, he is a member of the Georgia Recreation and Park Association where he serves as a committee chair, past network chair, and commissioner-elect. Christopher is a passionate advocate for social equity and an active lobbyist for afterschool program funding.
