Scott Martin

Executive Director of River Heritage Conservancy, USA

Scott Martin is the executive director of River Heritage Conservancy, Inc, the non-profit creating ORIGIN Park, a 600+ acre urban waterfront landscape along the North Shore of the Falls of the Ohio. Scott has been part of teams in Idaho, Virginia, and Kentucky that have built some of the State's largest new public park and urban open space conservation systems. He is presently North American co-chair for the World Urban Parks. He has presented research and delivered talks on urban public land stewardship and design to audiences in Australia, Canada, Europe, and Mexico. His work has been published in the Australasia Parks and Leisure Journal, Landscape Architecture Magazine, Virginia Review, and the global Nature in Cities Network. Scott holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boise State University. He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Louisville with their two marginally well-behaved dalmatians and enjoy whitewater kayaking in their free time.
