Ali Estefam

Head, NYC Chapter, the Center for Conscious Design, USA

Aline (Ali) Estefam worked for nearly a decade with diverse, multicultural populations in Latin America, Spain, Africa, and the US in the public and private sectors. She currently conducts and strategizes community engagement for large scale urban plans in New York City at Melissa Johnson Associates. She is a community issues advisor at Garra, a nonprofit that advocates for the economic development of Brazilian immigrant women living in New York. Ali is a fellow and head of the NYC Chapter at the Center for Conscious Design, where she investigates the intersections between design, equity and culture, and a fellow at Lemann Foundation, where she was recognized among the talents for social development. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). She also holds a Master in Urban Planning from Columbia University, focused on Community and Economic Development, and is a Specialist in City Management and Revitalization from the University of Castilla La Mancha, Spain.
