Hadar Dancig-Rosenberg

Visiting Professor, UC Berkeley Law School (2021-2023); Professor of Law, Bar-Ilan University, USA/Israel

Hadar is an associate professor and associate dean for research at the Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Law, and a visiting professor at University of California Berkeley Law School (2016 to 2018, summer 2020, 2021 to 2022). She specializes in criminal law and procedure, and her areas of expertise include non-adversarial criminal justice with a focus on innovative non-punitive, rehabilitative and community-oriented criminal justice mechanisms and processes. After graduating she clerked for the State of Israel Attorney. Before joining Bar-Ilan she served as the academic director of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Legal Clinic for Violence Against Women (2004-2009). Hadar serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Israeli Minister of Justice on Criminal Procedure and Evidence Law and as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Israeli Minister of Justice on Formulating Measures to Protect the Public Against Cyberbullying. She earned a Ph.D. (with highest distinction) and LL.B. (Summa Cum Laude) from Bar-Ilan University and LL.M. (Summa Cum Laude) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
