Noor Shahiwan bin Ismail is actively promoting solar technology to provide electricity for developing countries under SUNCROX SOLAR. Shahiwan is a strong believer in social entrepreneurship. With more than 80 solar projects completed including rural, agricultural, resort, and commercial in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar, Suncrox Solar is implementing a cross-subsidization model where profit from commercial projects are channeled to subsidize social initiatives up to 100%. More than 1000 direct beneficiaries are gaining positive impacts through these initiatives, and Suncrox Solar's next mission is to serve 5000 beneficiaries by 2022. With the tagline of "Solar for all; All for solar," Shahiwan is on track to fulfill his vision to provide practical solar energy solutions for better living of all, especially the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) group. He has a bachelor's in biology and a master's degree in environmental science from University Pertanian, Malaysia.
