Peter Lian Biak Cin Thang works within Mercy Corps under the Social Cohesion Program. As part of his job, he engages with youth groups from different ethnicities in Yangon and around Myanmar, to raise awareness regarding leadership and to promote understanding of diverse communities and religions through learning exchange. Peter is passionate about peaceful coexistence within diverse communities and committed to promoting social cohesion, focusing on youth and religious leaders in Myanmar. He strongly believes a better world is possible if we embrace unity in spite of our differences. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics, divinity and community leadership, and social studies and is currently pursuing a master's degree in interfaith dialogue.
