Jayne is the founder and CEO of Jayne Miller Consulting. Jayne is committed to advancing equitable access to urban parks and green spaces, especially in underserved and emerging parts of the world. Prior to starting her consulting business, she has held positions as the president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy in Pittsburgh; superintendent of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board in Minneapolis; director of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority in Brighton; and community services area administrator and manager of Parks and Recreation for the City of Ann Arbor in Ann Arbor. Under Jayne's leadership the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) have been recognized nationally for their work on social equity. While Superintendent of MPRB, the Minneapolis Park System was rated as the number one park system in the U.S. six consecutive years by the Trust for Public Land and was a gold medal finalist for excellence in park and recreation. Jayne serves on the board of City Parks Alliance, is World Urban Parks board chair. She is a CAPRA Commissioner and Fellow with the American Academy of Park and Recreation Administration and Salzburg Global Seminar.
