I am an experienced charity-sector leader of people and resources, dedicated advocate, and an accomplished scholar, with a passion for advancing human rights, fostering inclusivity, engendering diversity & social justice. Alongside the teams I lead as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the UK's oldest LGBT service delivery organization and previous teams I led as Director of Programmes at Amnesty International Nigeria, I employ research, campaigns, strategic litigation, and advocacy techniques to achieve stated aims. I am a legal practitioner, scholar, and development expert with close to 20 years of active law and development practice that cut across litigation, academics, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and inter-governmental organisations (IGOs). He has acquired considerable expertise in governance and democracy, human rights, and rule of law, LGBTI and PLHIV advocacy as well as other aspects of public international law. From private law practice in Nigeria, to the African Commission - the African Union's (AU) premier human rights organ, to the International Criminal Court (ICC), to Amnesty International, and now at the Leicester LGBT Centre, my career path has provided him with opportunities to advance the rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups including, women, children, and LGBT+ persons.
