Hyun Kyung Kim is a researcher at the Korean Society of Law and Policy on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (KSLP-SOGI). Prior to joining KSLP-SOGI, she participated in two large-scale LGBT survey projects, “South Korean LGBTI Community Social Needs Assessment Survey” and “Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in South Korea: Survey and Policy Implications”. In her role in these projects, she focused on investigating workplace discrimination and providing statistical consulting. Dr. Kyung Kim is running the website “Tong” that provides Koreans with easy-access to important international human rights documents, such as the Yogyakarta Principles, by providing English-Korean translation. She holds a B.A. from Ewha Womans University, Seoul and is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
