Anna Glass

Independent Consultant, USA

Anna Glass is an independent consultant for international and multi-lateral organizations as well as higher education institutions. She has served as policy analyst and expert for the OECD, UNESCO, European Commission, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education - Science and Culture, and the Salzburg Global Seminar, among others. Anna offers valuable insights based on comprehensive understanding of international norms, practices, and legal parameters; an instrumental global network of practitioners, educators, intellectuals, and policy-influencers; and a wealth of practical know-how when it comes to program management, strategic convening, effective facilitation, and higher education policy. Currently, Anna is working out of Boston, MA, from where she consults for international organizations, mentors young immigrants on college access in the US, and examines factors influencing early learning development. Anna holds a B.A. in literature from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA and an M.A. in international higher education from the University of Bath, UK. She studied with Professor Philip G. Altbach while enrolled in the Ph.D. program in international higher education at Boston College, USA in 2009/10 and in 2016 enrolled at University College London's Institute of Education for a Ph.D. in the sociology of higher education.
