Gwili Clifton

Former Visiting Professor, Maynooth College, Ireland; Former EFL Professor, Former Tunisian Ministry of Training and Education, USA

Gwili Clifton had a career in secondary education (English, English as a second language, social sciences, journalism.). She was a visiting professor at Maynooth College, Ireland and served as EFL professor for the Tunisian Ministry of Training and Education. She then worked as director of summer programs at The American School in London and as special assistant to Department Chairman, Thomas G. Webster, M.D., in the department of psychiatry at The George Washington University. Gwili was a volunteer for the Mother Theresa mission in Calcutta, India. In 1993 she worked in (then) First Lady Hillary Rhodam Clinton's press office. Later she became a program associate in American studies at the Salzburg Seminar. Currently she is active in Stetson University alumni activities. She earned a B.A. from Stetson University and an M.A. from The George Washington University. Gwili is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
