Qinghong Wang

Deputy Chief Development Officer and Director of the Global Philanthropy Leaders Program, China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI), China

Qinghong Wang is the deputy chief development officer and director of the global philanthropy leaders program at China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI). He is also vice president of East-West Philanthropy Forum. He is a founding member of the China-US Strategic Philanthropy Partnership that was upgraded to the East-West Philanthropy Forum in 2013, one of the leading networks promoting research, exchange, and collaboration among philanthropic sectors in the world. He is also an adjunct research fellow at Pacific Forum CSIS since 2007. His research focuses on the role of international NGOs in China, the development of philanthropy in China and the US, and both traditional and non-traditional security issues across the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a Ph.D. in political science and an MA in Asian studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He grew up in Beijing and received his B.A. from Peking University, where he majored in Chinese language and literature and minored in Chinese law.
