Broadcast Media in the 21st Century

The Salzburg Seminar in partnership with The Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Imagining the Future Foundation will convene a group of senior reporters and news executives from the US and Arab media to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing news professionals in the contemporary world. During this symposium, participants will discuss a broad range of professional issues, including newsroom practices, ethics in reporting, and the identification and development of next-generation reporters. Anticipated results include a broadening of the knowledge base of international, particularly Arab and American, reporting; fostering of professional networks among participants; and the promotion of a comparative understanding of journalism that can help promote global standards for reporting. Participation is by invitation.
