My name is Brittany Britto, and I am a graduate student at Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland pursuing a masters in multiplatform journalism. With a bachelors in English and a minor in creative writing, I have always had a keen interest and passion for storytelling in its many forms.
My love for culture, the arts and travel has led me to internships at lifestyle magazines including Washington Life and DC Modern Luxury, reporting opportunities with the University of Maryland's newspaper The Diamondback, Greenbelt News Review, The Frederick News Post and my current position as staff reporter for University of Maryland literature and arts publication, The Writer's Bloc.
As a writer who enjoys composing features and long form pieces, I hope to write impactful pieces that share stories of individuals and innovations that push society forward, and to capture images and stories about culture, the arts and how people continue to connect and express themselves.
