Alison PETERS is the managing director of the Deming Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business, where she oversees a wide range of programming including the Transforming Energy and Markets (TEAM) program, the Organic Business Initiative, and cross-campus entrepreneurship development. Ms. Peters has designed and implemented business outreach programs to provide companies of all sizes an easy portal for access to students, innovative research activities at the University, and collaborative activities with other businesses. She is an active liaison with business incubators, state and local government initiatives, and trade associations with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and/or sustainable business practices. Ms. Peters has previously held positions within the Deming Center as director of the TEAM program and coordinator of the business school's Sustainable Venturing program. She has also served as environmental affairs director for the city of Boulder and as a small business consultant. She holds an M.A. in economics from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and a B.A. from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
