Ana Paula Bortoletto Martins

Leader of the Healthy Diets Program, Institute for Consumers Protection (IDEC), Brazil

Ana Paula Bortoletto Martins is the leader of the healthy diets program at the Brazilian Institute for Consumers Protection (IDEC). She joined IDEC in 2013 and has been working on several projects relating to research and advocacy strategies on food and the nutrition regulation agenda for the prevention of NCDs. She is also an associate researcher at the Center for Epidemiological Research on Nutrition and Health - NUPENS / USP and a member of the steering committee of the Alliance for Healthy and Adequate Diets. Ana Paula worked as a consultant at the Secretariat of Evaluation and Information Management of the Ministry of Social Development and Hunger Reduction between 2008 and 2009. She earned a Ph.D. in nutrition in public health from Sao Paulo University and has studied nutrition epidemiology, evaluation of food and nutrition public policies.
