Pauline Cleaver

Pauline Cleaver is the associate deputy secretary for curriculum, pathways and progress at the Ministry of Education in New Zealand. Her role is to lead the design, implementation and use of the National Curriculum. This has the focus of ensuring that at a system level, all children and young people get the right teaching and learning to make progress across the National Curriculum so that they have the knowledge, skills and capability to be successful and contributing in life learning and work. Pauline joined the Ministry in 2004 and has over 20 years' experience in education. She has held a number of senior system leadership roles including group manager of curriculum, teaching and learning, and director of education for Wellington.
