Neil Perry is a graduate student in Civic Media at Emerson College in Boston. His professional background is in media production and post-production in the music, television and film industries which includes three Grammy and three daytime Emmy nominations. Currently, he leads the audio post-production group at Discovery in New York working with Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard with a concentration in Government. His thesis work at Emerson is focused at the intersection of data justice and data economics and consists of a short film that highlights the status quo of personal user data and explores models under development that seek to direct data value toward the public good.
