Karen Beale

Associate Professor of Psychology, Maryville College, USA

Karen Beale is an associate professor of psychology at Maryville College in Eastern Tennessee. She teaches courses in adolescent psychology, intimate relationships, and human sexuality. Her current line of research focuses on the development of sex guilt and how that affects future sexual attitudes and behaviors. She currently serves as the president of the Board of Haven House a local center for domestic violence. Dr. Beale holds a B.S. in psychology from University of Virginia’s College at Wise, an M.A. in psychology from East Tennessee State University, and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from North Carolina State University.
