Wanja Kilber

Wanja Kilber is a board member and co-founder of (, an organization of Russian speaking LGBTI people in Germany. He is also a coordinator and member of the Quarteera-Team, that helps LGBTI-asylum seekers from the former USSR countries in Germany. Since 2009 he is an initiator and coordinator of the International Rainbow Flashmob marking the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia and a member of, responsible for the LGBT exchange program between St. Petersburg and Hamburg (since 2010). In 2014 he participated as a guest speaker in the hearing of the Human Rights subcommittee of the European Parliament on the human rights situation in Russia. Since 2015 he is an initiator and coorganizer of the international meetings of russian speaking LGBTIQ-activists-groups from Germany, USA and Israel. Since 2006 he works as a stage and puppet designer in a German shadow theater company. Since 2010 he has been leading workshops on shadow theatre for adults and children in Europe and Central Asia on topics of diversity, human rights, empowerment etc.
