Jarunee Jarusruangchai is the founder of Young Good Governance, based in Thailand. She is driven by community development and youth empowerment initiatives. Recently, she has helped design, create, and execute civic engagement activities such as Hackathon with Design Thinking with several governmental agencies. Her latest volunteer project is Education for the Deaf (EDeaf). This volunteer-based project aims to support students, specifically those who are deaf, in promoting self-confidence and self-awareness in the out-of-curriculum learning space. She helps slum communities in Thailand to better address their poverty issues by capacity building, which includes introducing social media marketing tools. She has helped slum communities to connect to international markets and has facilitated several community development projects in cooperation with the Thai government, which helps strengthen community networks while enforcing government ties. She has served as a mentor, coach, and facilitator with youth through AIESEC, a well-known international student organization. She has assisted university students in discovering their own potential and has connected them with social development projects in Thailand and abroad.
