Rezarta has been working as a judge for the Special Appellate Chamber [Constitutional Court], the second instance of judicial and prosecutorial vetting in Albania, since June 2017. Prior to that, she worked for the Organization for Co-operation and Security in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations, among others. Her professional career has involved working in judicial reform in countries in transition as well as working in criminal justice, with a primary focus on serious crimes, including those of an inter-ethnic nature and rule of law development. Rezarta has also taught various legal subjects. In light of her prior experience, she remains interested in issues affecting anti-corruption, accountability of public officials, criminal justice reform and judicial institutions. Rezarta has a Master's degree in law from University of Wisconsin, Madison [USA] and a law degree from Tirana State University.
