Leila Marshania

Consultant, Formerly of Council of Europe, Georgia

Leila had been a project manager at the Council of Europe for 13 years managing various assistance project in Eastern partnership countries and Turkey. She is specialized in the field of rule of law and human rights and was specifically in charge of designing, negotiating, implementing and monitoring projects on justice reform, combating corruption, freedom of expression, Internet governance and data protection. Prior to that she had worked in the Georgian public administration and later on as an independent consultant for the European Union in the field of justice reform in Georgia. Since August 2020 she has been an independent consultant in the field of rule of law and human rights. Leila received an L.L.M. from Lund University in Sweden, an M.A. in International Studies from Moscow Diplomatic Academy in Moscow and B.B.A. from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania.
