Sara Shokravi is the program director and campaign manager for Startupistan, a non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany. The organization works with young Afghans seeking digital and entrepreneurial skills and provide networking opportunities, as well as an environment that is conducive to growth. Ms. Shokravi initially moved to Berlin to study the experience of women in Germany's refugee integration process as part of the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship. She believes that in today's polarized world women are multipliers of sustainability in their diverse communities, which is why it is essential they are given equal opportunity and access to resources and tools, including skills training and employment opportunities. Prior to this, Ms. Shokravi spent over a decade working in both the private sector and non-profit organizations providing sociocultural and geopolitical expertise on leading foreign policy issues. Ms. Shokravi attended American University for her master of arts in international politics and California State Polytechnic University for her bachrlor of arts in political science and history.
