Margret Suckale is a member of the supervisory boards of Deutsche Telekom AG, DWS Group GmbH & Co. KG, Heidelberg Cement AG, and Infineon Technologies AG. She is currently on the board of trustees of the Hanns Matin Schleyer Foundation which works to strengthen the democratic constitutional state and the social market economy, especially with regard to the young academic generation. Previously, she was a member of the board of directors at BASF SE, a European chemical company, until 2017. At BASF, Ms. Suckale's responsibilities included engineering and maintenance, environmental protection, and human resources. Before her appointment to the board in 2011, she held senior roles in human resources. Previously, Margret served as a member of the management board (2005 - 2008) at Deutsche Bahn AG. From 2013-2017, she served as chairwoman of the German Federation of Chemical Employers' Associations (BAVC). She started her professional career in 1985 with the oil and gas company Mobil Oil, where she worked in several positions in legal and human resources in and outside of Germany. After completing her postgraduate clerkship and working as a research associate at the University of Hamburg, she did an executive master of business administration from WHU, Vallendar, Germany, and Kellogg School of Management, Illinois, United States. Furthermore, she holds an executive master of European and international law from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
