Ashley-Crystal is the grants and marketing manager at Arts Council New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana. She joined the organization in 2019. She is interested in exploring effective and innovative ways to create sustained access and art opportunities for local emerging and established creative professionals (e.g. artists, youth, and culture bearers), advocating for increased funding to sustainably support artists, arts + culture organizations, and engaging communities with artists and culturally relevant projects in pursuit of a more equitable and resilient society. Her projects include assisting the creative director and interim executive director with artist services and the role of marketing design. Her most current project includes researching arts-centered juvenile diversion programs across the country that will help inform the Arts Council's next youth-focused project. She received a master of arts from the University of New Orleans in arts administration and a bachelor of arts from the University of North Texas in Denton, in journalism.
