Norvin is a filmmaker, poet and video installation artist and human rights advocate from Mandaluyong City, Philippines. After graduating with a degree in business administration in 2013, he took Basic Motion Picture production in 2016 to further pursue his passion in cinema and visual storytelling. His works include "Papang (Father, 2016)", "Hele ng Maharlika (Lullaby of the Free, 2019)" and "Isang Daa't Isang Mariposa (101 Butterflies, 2019)" and have been recognized in various filmmaking bodies including Cinemalaya Film Festival, QCinema International Film Festival, and Active Vista Human Rights Film Festival. His works' usual themes tackles the plight of the LGBTQIA+ and the working class trying to capture both the mundane with and the spiritual aspects of his characters' lives. He is a volunteer for "Teach Peace Build Peace Movement" that teaches peace education to conflict areas in Mindanao, "Juan Portrait" which teaches and uses photography to engage with indigenous communities and currently one of the resident artists of "Para sa Sining", a collaborative community that uses art as an interface for conversation, collaboration & cultural exchange, a catalyst for social change & action, and a solution to societal issues and problems.
