Tiisetso is a playwright, theatre director and producer, choreographer and performer who has been described as a 'theatre prodigy' in the Cape Times and a 'brilliant young mind' by TEDxYouth Cape Town for her award-winning and critically-acclaimed play, Sainthood. Tiisetso holds a bachelor of arts in politics and international studies, philosophy and dramatic arts (with distinction) from Rhodes University and a bachelor of arts (Hons) in writing for film, avant-garde film and directing for stage (with a first class pass) from the University of Cape Town. She is a 2020 Apolitical Academy Fellow, a twice published author, a two-time Standard Bank Ovation Award winner and a 2019 CASA Award for Womxn-Identified Playwrights finalist, who strives to make provocative content focused on themes of social politics, history and violence in contemporary South Africa. Her work with Sainthood has seen her engage with over 4000+ students from high school to varsity in conversation with themes of youth culture and its relationship to toxic masculinity, a topic she addresses in her TEDxYouth talk titled, 'Another Conversation for the Dinner Table?'.
