Victor Ciobotaru is a human rights activist and a member of ACCEPT Association, the national LGBTI organization in Romania. He is running a local LGBTI Christian Group in Bucharest. Since 2017 he has been a part of the Organizing Committee of LGBT Christian Forum of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He is interested in the intersection of LGBTI identities, religion and human rights. He previously studied pastoral theology and sociology. "Exploring spiritual and religious identities among LGBT community in Romania" is the title of his master degree thesis. Now, together with his partner and 21 other couples, he is involved in the strategic case of ACCEPT at European Court of Human Rights in order to obtain legal protection for same sex families in Romania.
