Mety Panagiotopoulou is a performing arts researcher and practitioner. Since 2016, she has been the artistic director of the Giortes Rokkas festival that take place in the villages Rokka and Kera of Chania Crete every August. Last year she founded Metaxoto in Chania Crete, a cultural space dedicated to research and practice performing arts. For the last 15 years, she has worked as a choreographer, artistic programmer, performer and teacher for numerous cultural and non-for-profit organizations, dance-theater groups and schools. The main subject of her work is the improvisation methods and interactive processes. She holds a bachelor's degree in dance, a legal law bachelor from the University of Athens and a master's degree in research of performing arts from the University of Strasbourg, France.
