Mohamed Azad Mohamed Mustaffa is a program director for the Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum and the chief editor of iVoice, a web-based digital platform for excluded and marginalized communities. Azad joined this organization in 2018, and he is currently working on a policy document to ensure gender equality in the media sector and also implementing a peace journalist training program under the Media Empowerment for a Democratic Sri Lanka program. He is interested in discovering new and innovative tools to work with young journalists to promote peace and reconciliation in the post-war context. His role in the project is to design the entire process of the MediaCorps program, develop tools to assess and report the changes. He has more than five years of experience in managing media development projects in Sri Lanka and previously worked as country director for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Sri Lanka. He is a human rights lawyer by profession and obtained his bachelor's degree in law from Open University, Sri Lanka.
