Irwan Malhotra is the co-founder and trustee of Givfunds Social Ventures, a non-profit which raises donations to fund low-cost funds (0-4%) across multiple rounds to hundreds of impactful social enterprises across South/South East Asia. Currently, operating in two countries, his goal in the next five years is to be in seven Asian countries, enabling sustainable funds to more than 14,000 social enterprises and impacting more than 10 million people living in rural areas, most of them living at the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid. His purpose in life is to reduce the inequality between rural and urban areas of Asia through social entrepreneurship and collaboration. Prior to that, he set up a learning center, which taught kids in slums in New Delhi. He also founded a boutique financial firm, Vencap United, which he ran for eight years. Irwan is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for education, social enterprise, Kashmir, and Manchester United. He holds an engineering degree and a master's in business administration.
