Samuel Karuita

Director of Programs, Peace Ambassadors Integration Organization, Kenya

Samuel is the director of programs at the Peace Ambassadors Integration Organization, Kenya. He is a peace activist, youth mobilizer, and social innovator. Samuel has profound experience in peacebuilding and youth empowerment. His projects include Peace Ambassadors Kenya, a model community policing and peacebuilding program that runs peace youth clubs in 40 universities in Kenya. Samuel is a trained community facilitator in nonviolent communication skills, alternative to violence program, and imago therapy. He received the Commonwealth Queen's Young Leaders Awards in 2015 for his contribution to the peacebuilding agenda in the Commonwealth. He is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society and an Alumni of the Mandela Institute of Development Studies. Samuel holds a B.A. in disaster management and international diplomacy and is currently pursuing an M.A. in development studies. Samuel is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
