Prior to joining WISE in August 2019, Ms. Kirby served as the Education Advisor at the U.S. Embassy Qatar from 2012 - 2019 where she managed the education diplomacy portfolio for Qatar for the U.S. Department of State. Before joining the U.S. Department of State, she worked as a Project Director at AED and then FHI 360 from 2009 - 2011, where she managed a number of international development and capacity building projects worldwide, including education projects in Yemen, Armenia, and Pakistan, in partnership with USAID and the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Kirby was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Yemen and Bahrain from 2007-2009 and earned her M.A. in International Relations from Boston University.
