Country Coordinator for Pakistan, Terre des Hommes, Pakistan

Abdul Salam Dharejo is an award-winning freelance journalist, social researcher, and development professional. Salam has over 17 years of professional senior management experience in operational and non-operational interventions for humanitarian assistance, sustainable development of children and communities, law reforms, and community mobilization. He is currently working as a country coordinator for Pakistan with Terre des Hommes, for the realization of children's rights and promotion of human rights in the South Asia region. Being a freelance journalist, he has earned a reputation by winning national and international awards. Previously, he has been associated with children and labor rights organizations in Pakistan. Salam has produced research on child labor, bonded labor, and violence against children. He was chosen as an associate member of The Centre for the Study of Global Human Moment, Cambridge University, UK, as Fellow of the International Visitor Leadership Program, USA, Fellow of the Dutch Trade Union FNV, an honorary member of the Pakistan Peace Coalition, the South Asia Social Forum, the Pakistan India People's Forum for Peace and Democracy, and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. He holds a master's degree in international relations from the University of Sindh, Pakistan. Salam is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
